I am not ready to leave! I have not seen enough of Europe yet. I have been doing laundry and making wool balls today. Maybe tomorrow I can come out and play some more. Please don't make me leave yet.

So, I come home after a long day of Euro life, you know, a couple of wine tastings and gallery openings and brownie baking parties and orgies, all with a kid attached to boob of course : , I get in the front door and

stumble

: over a bunch of mdc mamas. Oh, and one step stool

May I mention that there seems to be a lot of wool involved? My cats are having a great time. : :

HI EVERYBODY!!! Great you made it! Beats the boonies, eh?

this is what HOlland looks like , more or less

This is our town. That big mfing church is 1000 years old I kid you not.

Today, it's our State of the Union day. That means that our queen gets to go for a ride in a real golden carriage, no kidding, and reads the address. Very quaint, very Euro.

But, it also being fall, I say we crash over at Raven's. It's spring there. So, lets get the bikes out, ride around a bit, stop at the playgrounds we have at ever 200 yards here, eat some yummy Indonesian rice table food, take the train to France, pick up some mamas there, and fly straight down to Cape Town. We won't even have to change our watches.

Ohh, thank you for your hospitality! It sounds lovely. Of cours it sounds exotic being that I've never been there! Can we stay another hour or so? Don't want to overstay our welcome, but I want the other mamma's to wake up first.

OOh, those are beautiful pictures of Holland, Simonee. Dh and I honeymooned in Curacao

I miss it. We took many pictures of the pretty colored homes. Thanks for the reminder this morning!

If we celebrate Spring in Africa, will I miss autumn here in the northeast?

Glad you ladies behaved yourselves last night. All that day time drinking yesterday put me to bed early

HEY no rush Jacque! I LOVE you all here! It's just been so rainy and chilly, I'm afraid you're not having enough fun.

I'm gonna make a bunch of French fries with mayo and peanut sauce, yum!! (remember the opening of Pulp Fiction? We really eat that). Oh, and I live about 10 miles from the Grolsch brewery, I'll get some "crates" as we call the 24-bottle boxes. Yes yes, the fake kind for those who are preggers or exclusively bf-ing.

But man I keep falling over all that yarn :LOL

ETA MOm4Tot ~ yes, Curacao is lovely isn't it? I've never been there, but Willemstad (lol, "Willem town", my ds is Willem) is so beautiful. (Curacao is in hte Caribean and is still Dutch property. Colonialism is a dirty chapter that paid for a lot of the pretty canals in Amsterdam but man snorkeling is just not the same there as here in the NOrth Sea )

Willemsted is lovely, we especially enjoyed the Dutch architecture and the floating market. We stayed a bit outside of town, found some nice snorkeling spots hidden away. Willem is a nice name

Simonee, I am having such a nice time. It is so relaxing here. I will try to keep my wool out of the way. I gave your cats a couple of felted wool balls, is that OK?

The French fries and Grolsch were great! I had the real stuff.

Why don't we get a good night sleep and head to Raven's tomorrow. You don't mind all of us crazy women in your house one more night do you?

So Simonee, you will let all those people visit you, but you couldn't make it to Paris to visit me last year???? It was only 2 countries away!!

I've been to Africa, I wanna go somewhere else.

And Jacque, beware of Mom4Tot, I've met her irl, and it's scary. He (I mean she) is not what s/he appears.

Irish, I would have let YOU visit me! :nana:

What's up with Raven anyway? Does she know we're here? Should someone pm her? Or should we just wait till she stumbles over us, like I did the other day over the rest of us? But... in her state and all...

I always believe brazen hussies... brazen hussy.... that's right up there with yurt and galoshes

:LOL

Okay... Here is map of Africa ... see where South Africa is? (in the South )

Here is a map of SA ... Cape Town is once again, right at the bottom. Here is a map of CT See if you can find Pinelands - thats where I live

Here is a site for a guest house in Pinelands. We use to live n that house before the owner turne it into a gues house: 5 Lisse Pinelands

Here is a stunning picture of Table Mountain - we can go have a picnic on the mountain at Newlands Forest which is at the foot of the mountain.

Then we can go to Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens Here are some more pics:

http://www.sunsetbeach.co.za/cape_to...al_gardens.htm

Then there's the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront and Greenmarket Square - a hippie lovin' market and there is also Robben Island - a very moving and very special tour is offered from the Waterfront to Robben Island. A must see!!!

Then there is the Cape Winelands and Wine Routes

Oh and we also have Camps Bay beach and Boulders Beach (famous for the penguins). We also have our mainly nudist beachSandy Bay beach

Then we have The Art of Living Festival and the Hermanus Whale Festival and the famous North Sea Jazz Festival and the Grahamstown Arts Festival WE LOVE OUR FESTIVALS :LOL

So come on over!!

Yeah. So you'll forget I didn't really belong there, you'll just think I was always there. "I came with the furniture." You'll never even think about getting rid of me.

Raven, she's so tall and skinny, she'd make a PERFECT coat rack!

I'm speachless! It's so beautiful! Table Mountain is breathtaking! Why is it we hear so little of SA? It looks so lush! Thank you for the gracious tour!
