My friend, username is LuluCarnes, cannot get into the TP. She gets this error:

LuluCarnes, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

All she was trying to do was view the TP. WTH?

Sounds like a glitch, I wouldn't worry unless it keeps happening.

your friends is banned from the TP for posting too much there as am I. Whcih is strange cause I always thought your posts in teh TP didn't count towards your total post count so I've posted in other places 2500+ times but I guess I'm just confused.
bottom line we're banned for posting too much.

WHAT???? YOU can post too much? I haven't heard about this. I know some people are in some of the sorums ALL THE TIME so I assumed there weren't any limits.
My message wasn't from posting too much because I really don't. :

you can post too much in the TP, the rest of the forums are unlimited. It is in TP user agreement I am told which I admit to glancing over but I must have missed that part. It's completly my fault as I post new threads alot instead of justing merging my old ones

yes, but we can not see what our total posts are(trading posts posts )so how will we know when we are excedding them. TP posts do not posts against your viewed post count(that was nutty) we need a way to know since we don't know what our "actual" tally is. Not making ecxuses just saying we need to get that glitch out so we are more aware, kwim?

I think the whole 25% of your posts is weird. What's the rationale there? Plus, like jeca said, how would you know?

jeca I'll reply to you here for your PM question as well.

Before you lost your TP access you had the ability to check your posting history which gives your post count to all posts on the boards, including the TP. You also had the ability to search your username to see how many posts you had made to The Trading Post and its subforums.

If you try to search now it may not give you that info since your TP access is suspended.

If you want to know your exact count of TP posts you can contact the moderator, tnrsmom.

Mami, what can I say? We're wierd.

Didn't you all read the rules of the TP? They haven't changed in this regard since we first opened the board.

Silly or not a bump post counts as a post in the TP just as it does to any discussion thread anywhere else. We cannot feasibly sift through your posting history and determine how many legitimate posts you have to the board and how many are bumps.

I understand not being able to sift through posts, but where is the information about my total post count (and how many of those posts are from the TP)?

ETA: Yes, I did read the TP rules. I honestly did not think I was above 25% in TP posts. I have being posting in diapering for months. I am an active member there.

Would posting on other forums to decrease the % of posts on the TP get those who are banned reinstated?

I probably did, but I've slept since then. Some days I can't remember which day of the week it is.
