On the big list no one has posted IF=Infirtility but mentions it in explanations...just an fyi
sid can also be sids for sudden infant death depending on the context
also as for the abbreviation pictures : :2toddler: : :
A thing I do if I am unsure about the picture is move my mouse over the pic and the name of the picture will show up so you can know what it is, the secon picture is 2toddler meaning either a 2 year old or your second or simply the second toddler picture HTH

Bleu, I am not sure what you want me to do with the pictures? I would rather not post them on the Acronyms list since it is already so huge and if you open up the full page of smilies the file names pretty much tell you what they mean. The only think I would do is to put the list of ribbon colors and their meanings. (just haven't had time do to new baby in the house!)

Thx,
N~

Yeah I saw that. Fixed them they should be working now. I copied from the post instead of source code when I moved the list to the end of the thread!

OHHHHHH NOOOOOOO
I am so sorry I was unclear. I only meant to ask to post what IF meant...that it meant infirtility because it was mentioned in the explanations of some abbreviations but was not listed as an abbreviation itself, which it is now so all is good.

so sorry for the confusion

I have one.

What is this?

^i^

I have seen it next to a child's name in a signature. Is it an angel? as in a miscarriage? it looks sort of like a face but I don't see it next to all of her children's names.

Anyone know?

I'm not sure about EP, but the blue diaper is for cloth diapers (CD=cloth diapers).

If used in the context of child birth, it means unassisted. In other context, I don't know.

EP in the context of breastfeeding means Exclusive Pumping (in other words, babies that won't nurse but get breastmilk via bottle).

What a GREAT list!! I tried to read through all, but too long... Just happy knowing now when I stumble across a new acronym, I know where to come to find out or ask! :-)
Some to add: VBAC, VBA#C (VBA2C, VBA3C...), HBAC & UBAC (probably self explanatory when you add HB or UC and VBAC).

I thought C/S meant a c-birth. I don't recall ever seeing mean co-sleep. I could be wrong though.

Helpful thread. Cleared up for me that 'dh' is for 'dear husband' instead of thinking it was darling husband.
