You are very welcome! Like some of the last few posters I was getting annoyed at going through this very long thread trying to piece together all the meanings and thought having them all in almost one place would make everyone's lives a bit easier!

Just FYI for those here recently, you don't have to go through the whole thread just look through the last couple of pages for the HUGE list post and find what you need. Every so often I come back to add new ones and move the list to the end of the thread again.

Blessings,
N~

Crap! when I copied and pasted the list from it's old spot to the new one I lost the links at the bottom. If someone could find those for me as I am cramped for time at the moment and PM me with them I will fix my post to include them.

TIA,
N~

Without doing a lot of searching what comes to mind for me is Exclusive Pumping. Does that fit the context? If so I will add it to the list.

Depending on the context. But in this case I do believe it means to subscribe to a particular thread or forum whereby that person will get email notifications of any new posts or updates.

Just a reminder when asking about an abbreviation or acronym please give an example of how it's used and in what forum you have seen it. It will help us to get you a definition faster. Many of the ones used here on MDC have multiple meanings that change depending on the forum.

Thanks,
Nichol

Thanks!

I have chosen not to list all the meanings of all the smilies because the list is already so darn long. I had links set up for some of the forum specific definitions, but somehow I have lost my links. If anyone can find the posts relavent to them and PM me that would be great. Also I have lost the post with all the meanings of the ribbon smilies. If you know where it is and can send it to me that would be wonderful!

I can add the above to the list since they are also used in the text portion of threads.
Thanks,
Nichol

Moved the list to the end of the thread, and added links to the diapering and babywearing acronym posts. Enjoy!

even though he's not nursing right now he is napping precariously on my lap/arm and it's good to know that my lack of capitalizations are ok. I feel lucky to get (if I do) the spelling right...I panicked when I began reading the "lazy" part

I think Glucose Tolerance Testing--to see if you have Gestational Diabetes. I believe it involves drinking some kind of sugary concoction and having sugar level tested after a few hours, not sure though...

Thank you, MamaFae for compiling that list! I'm a newbie to the forum (just found it yesterday) and was having a tough time trying to decipher the acronyms!

When I opened the thread, I was dissapointed that the first post didn't have a compiled list and was _very_ happy when I clicked to the end of the thread and found your list!

Nichol,
Just FYI, there are no links at the words "HERE." I'm sure you're aware, but I wanted to point it out just in case!

, , , mama to Ross , Reagan (8/29/05), Joshua (from Haiti...here NOW due to the earthquake!), and Elijah , born safely 9-8-09.
