In other words, the blue color and Vbullshtuf at the top is temporary, and we'll have our normal MDC colors back in a few hours or a few days?

Well, I'm not admin, but more than likely, yes. I'm guessing they have a lengthy to do list, and the basic functions that make the forums work (like search, login issues, buttons, posting and replying, yadda yadda) are probably at the top, with colors being further down. But that's just my best guess.

(I'm hoping the MDC colors come back, too. They were so calming.)

I can't do anything on reply to thread or PM's. My tool bar isn't working at all. How do I go about getting this fixed? Thanks

I posted this earlier - in a separate thread - but just wanted to say the problem has cleared up!!!

Just wanted to pass on to MDC techs that the tools in the toolbar - such as the text formatting, color and links, etc. - have not been working since the latest remodel. I checked to see if I have my cookies turned off, but they're not, so maybe something's glitching.

Ooh, things are working again in the reply box!
The ads are wierd though - when I logged in, everything was blue, with the vb logo, the side ads were there, the banner ad was smooshed between the logo and the forum list, and the main box was narrow and to the left. I changed the color to tan, and the ads all went away and it got wide.

Yea! MDC logo is back and the tan is on mine right now. More calming than the blue No ads fo me either, not that I am complaining though.

Are you clicking the save changes button when you pick a color?

Using the latest version of Firefox on my emac, a lot of features are not working. I cannot use IE because it will crash my mac. But, everything is working fine using Safari. Strange.

Yeah, I second that Firefox thing. No smilies, no thread tools, etc.

Are there supposed to be banner ads after *each post?* It's taking two full minutes to load each page, and that's on my fast T1 connection at work. If this really is the new ad layout, I'll definitely be finding somewhere else to go.

I have ads in between each *post* suddenly, which makes each page take forever to load.

I also can't seem to use quick reply.

Well, I am using Netscape. The boards are running MUCH slower for me than usual, the ads are in between EVERY single post instead of all neatly on the side or top of the page. Super annoying.

The color is also blue, which I kind of like.
Quick Reply STILL does not work either. And none of the smilies work.

I hope you guys are able to get all the kinks worked out soon. I'm not trying to complain, just let you know what's working and what's not with Netscape. I appreciate all your hard work to keep the boards running!

I was having the ad in between each post problem in the blue format, but it seems to have gone away when I switched to tan. Still loading very very slowly.

I have a banner ad before EVERY...SINGLE...POST. It is taking me over 10 minutes to load a page.

Wait, just saw that it might be fixed in another color scheme, so I'm going to try it.

It is still taking forever with tan. The banners between each post is super annoying!! I have DSL and it took nearly 20 minutes for this thread to open (I have it so all the posts are on one page; think I'll have to change it back).

Upgrade? I wouldn't call it that.

MDC is now loading so slowly (on my superfast DSL), that I've had to stop all but one page loading at a time, and even it takes so long I was wondering if the browser had frozen.

Even ovusoft loads faster. And that's saying something.

Unfortunately I won't be able to read the site with this ridiculous speed issue (not to mention the ads between posts). But I'll keep checking back every so often to see if it's better. Thank you for the site in the past - I enjoyed it a lot.

(obviously haven't read any posts in this thread - my daughter's only asleep for 45 minutes, and the first post took a minute to load).

Under which style are some of you seeing ads after every post? We have these styles: Lavender & Sage Blue Tan Test Style --Tan (aka Test Style Tan)

I just got flipped back to tan too. This is making me crazy!

I'm seeing them under the default blue.

The Banner Ads!

OMG are they supposed to be EVERYWHERE??? I can't load the pages in under two minutes (and I am on highspeed cable) because the banner ads are in between EACH POST. This can't be purposeful can it?

I would so leave this site over that. I am reading about a poor woman's child being molested, and between every post is an ad for Soap! Diapers! Dolls! EXTREMELY inappropriate, and unwieldy.

I've got ads after every post, and very slow loading, and the quick reply doesn't work. At the moment, the blue style with the vbulletin logo is coming up, and I use firefox. Oh, and I also have the narrow window with a white column.

It is taking AGES to load the pages, I'm on dial-up and the banner added every post are killing me! NOt only do they take forever to load, they are super annoying b/c almost all of htem blink or switch to different pics and such. Too much for my eyes to handle!

Also, the quick reply isn't working at all for me.

Ihope these issures dget sorted out, b/c if the banner adds stay, I'll have to leave until I can get DSL, and it isn't available in my area yet!
