i vote for including natural family living on the sticker. love the design in post by dinkerandgiggles(sp?) easy enough to spot for id purposes for us but also gives the non-initiated a clue what its all about. i would totally buy one. fwiw i'd pay 5$ (in case anybody needs to know how much folks are willing to pay)

I did the design Alaina of Dinker and Giggles posted (with natural families in the middle) and I'm totally willing to do another one that is even more Euro-oval style, I am just literally in the middle of moving (in between the two cities, 10 hours apart, we are moving between) and won't have internet access for at least another week. PM me and remind me if it's needed

Both designs are rockin'. With and without the "natural families" part.
I would buy both. The "without" style on a tote or shirt would cause people to ask what it means and engage a conversation.
The "with" style on a bumpersticker would be great because people rollin' by would know what you're talking about.

Definitely would by a bumper sticker and a tote!! I'd love for the totes to come in different sizes (i.e. one for library books, one for Farmer's Market)!! WHEN IS THIS HAPPENING?!? HOW DO I GET ONE?

This is exactly my thoughts!

I so totally want one - I'll use my xyron machine to turn a sticker into a magnet. I'd love a tote bag, and I'd really love a t-shirt!! Does this make me an MDC geek?

I want one!!! I like it simple: "MDC www.mothering.com" I think that it will make ppl wonder what the site is about and then they will check it out, out of curiousity, kwim? Plus, it's kind of like an inside thing, lol. If I ever see another mama with a MDC sticker/tote I would get sooo excited, and would probably follow that mama and give her my #, so we could try to meet up or something. I'm so desperate to meet some other like-minded MDC/NFL type mamas, I'm like a black sheep where I live.

Anyway, I have done that before, saw a website w/o an explanation posted somewhere and then checked it out later to see what it was about. I was curious enough to look up the site on my own time later on.

I agree with some of the other posters - I would prefer a really simple design (just MDC with the web addres). I think enough people would be curious about what MDC was and would check out the website - I know I would be!

I also would love to see t-shirts in addition to the other stuff (another MDC geek, I guess!). My understanding is that it's pretty simple to offer lots of merchandise on Cafe Press once you come up with a design.

Thanks to everyone who's organizing this!

Should we put a poll up in TAO to see what people want on the stickers? My vote's for keeping "natural family living" or something like that, but I'll go with the majority.

I'm so ready to buy a sticker, a tote, a ribbon, etc. This is a great idea!!

I have one concern though. There's an unwritten rule about the oval stickers...."one per car and don't get too far removed from the original 'location' intent of the euro stickers." That said, I'd be pretty embarrassed to have a TDIClub.com oval sticker, and MDC oval sticker, a DE (Germany) sticker, etc. on my Volkswagen. It would be very uncool in the car world.

Now, I realize you mamas aren't car nuts for the most part and I know that these oval stickers are quite trendy right now (another downfall, IMO), but I just wanted to mention that maybe it would be better in the long run to do a classic square or rectangular sticker advertising us.

OMG, I pulled up the site just now to do a search and see if there were any MDC stickers or talk of stickers and this thread was on the front page!

That's almost creepy! And not the first time something like that has happened here. Great mamas think alike I suppose!

Yay!

I will be checking in to see the progress. I so badly want a sticker for my new (to me) car! I haven't read the whole thread but I am hoping for an oval MDC one.

ITA, but I hope we can have a choice of either. I don't have any ovals right now--I was kind of down on them for awhile, but for some reason, I really want an MDC one right now. I used to have a Switzerland (CH) one years ago before they were trendy. Boy, did I get tons of questions on that one! For my car, I would prefer a simple MDC with small Web site listed at bottom. I don't really care that everyone knows what it is--just the people who know, yk? Hee hee.

I think people who don't want an oval should have another choice though.

D'oh, MoonJelly!! Why didn't I think of that?! Of course, it doesn't have to be either/or. Offering both would be perfect!

I'm so excited this is happening!

I can whip up a classic one and a rectangle and email them to Alaina... I'll do that. I have a bad cold today and am off to bed, but I'll try to get to it tomorrow!
