Does anyone know if there are any drinking water safe hoses that say it's okay to use with hot water? I was told to get a drinking water safe hose to fill the birth tub, but all of the hoses I have found state not to use them with hot water as they could burst.

We had no problem with our drink-safe hose and filling the birth pool with hot water.  thumb.gif  Maaaaaybe if your "houseboat or RV" was running hot water all. the. time.  ....But not for filling up a birth pool 1 or a few times.

And Congrats!  I hope your birth goes swimmingly!

We got a lead free garden hose that says nothing about not using hot water. It was about $20 for 25 feet.

we've gotten ours from amazon each time; an aquarium-type filler like the python.  It works like a charm!

I was going to suggest a Python too. It's a hose you can use for both filling and emptying your birthing tub. You can get it at an aquarium shop.

Python is awesome. I used to have one that I actually used for my fish. You could also use it to drain the tub, especially if you are going to drain it into the yard (doesn't work as well for the sink unless the tub is upstairs and you can reach the downstairs train).

You could also look into a water bed filling hose, I know some people use them for fish tanks. Also with either that or the python you will probably need an adapter for your sink. Also the adapters never fit our kitchen sink, just the bathroom.
