I don't know why I never think of looking for birth pools until fall when no one actually carries inflatable kids' pools anymore.  Are there any birth supplies places that sell kids' pools as birth pools?  Or anyone know of a place to get a deep one (preferably 25")?

There is some pool that gets recommended over and over on this forum. Do a quick search for that brand name and see if it's available online. Also, ask your MW if they rent pools. Ours was less tam $100 as I recall.

I bought this one, but never got to use it. We chose this pool based on reading & talking with others, and the reviews. I just had my baby on Monday, and didn't get to use it because my labor & delivery were extremely fast.

The main advantages with a purpose built birth pool are that they are deep, have rigid sides for leaning on and have a padded floor so your knees don't suffer. With that in mind do what you can afford.

I used this pool for my 4th and loved it.  I'm buying a new one as I type for my 6th delivery!
