Okay so DH and I have been having lots of sex lately to try and induce labor. We set up the birthing pool and had pretty great sex in there. Is that safe? Does anybody have any solid facts? I'll be asking my midwife tomorrow as well but couldn't resist asking beforehand. Oh btw, it started contractions too! 20 min. apart...but they stopped last night, and baby has been moving a ton all day today.

I really don't know but am not so sure about trying to induce (even naturally) at 38 weeks. Sex is fine but I may get my mindset out of the idea of induction if I were you. It'll make for a LONG 2-3 weeks. Also, I'm sure you're not supposed to treat water for HB, which makes me think that your tub shouldn't be filled yet. Standing water can get pretty funky pretty fast...even if you're not having sex in it.
