Hey all! I just found out I am pregnant with #3 and am interested in finding a homebirth midwife in the Baltimore area. My last two children were born at a birth center and was hoping for a new experience. I labor extremely quickly, so I will need to find someone in the Baltimore area. So far, all my searches are coming up empty. I would appreciate recommendations for any homebirth midwives in the area. Thanks!
HB (and even midwifery) in MD is very difficult to find providers for right now. I suggest googling a few of the midwives in the rest of MD, VA and etc. and see what you can find. Also, if you want to be part of advocacy for midwifery care in MD, you can google something like "supporting homebirth in Maryland" and find the support groups that may be able to help you. Also, ICAN in Baltimore may be helpful. Good luck!
Troll? Here's me...
