I was taking a supergreens supplement but I think one of the herbs in it is raising my bp . So I started taking chlorophyll instead but I'm not sure how much to take.

My midwife had me start this week. She *might* have told me one tablespoon in a glass of water twice a day, but I forgot what she said, so I take one teaspoon in water twice a day like it says on the bottle. we use the brand "Nature's Sunshine" and it's mint flavored. So far, I like it!

Me too, she asked that I get that brand specifically. The first time I took it I made the mistake of trying to just take it straight like my floradix and that was super gross, but putting in a glass of water and chugging is okay.

This site explains more but basicially it is used to increase a low hemoglobin and promote the clotting factor. And is excellent for this purpose after a postpartum hemmorhage as well.

Thanks April! I almost hemmorhaged with my first (I think that was due to tons of meds and pulling my placenta out) and finding things that might help this time around (as well as avoiding un-neccisary medications and placenta pulling!) is a very good idea for me (I don't have a midwife yet so I'm kinda on my own with supplements for the moment... obs don't really suggest anything other than prenatals).

It's also a good way to up the vit k in your milk if you are declining any vit k supplementation at birth.
My midwives recommend having chlorophyll on hand in case of excessive bleeding after the birth too. So it sounds like it would be good for you to have around. Good luck
