So first off: I just found out that Im GBS + (which honestly isn't a big surprise since I was with my last pg and early on in this pg). I had a long chat with the midwife at my appt yesterday and she basically said that we'll just hope that my water doesn't break until I'm in active labor and said to DEF stay home as long as possible (already planning on that one). She also hinted that IF my water does break and Im not in active labor to keep it hush hush b/c they are OBLIGATED to send me straight to the hospital if I tell them... That makes me a little uncomfy but not as uncomfy as a c-section-
Anyway have any experience with being GBS +. She said I should be on antibiotics one hour before delivery so should still plan to labor at home as long as possible... does this sound right to you ladies?
Ok question #2:
- My fundal height has been measuring a few weeks behind since about 30 weeks which nobody has been all that concerned with but at my 36 week appt yesterday I hadn't gotten any bigger since the week before... She palpatated my stomach and said she felt plenty of fluid and his h/b was good. He's still in LOA position (please STAY there baby)... She said if I was still measuring 33 weeks NEXT week they'd send me for an u/s to do a growth scan and measure fluid levels etc...
Do you think this is something i need to be concerned about? I REALLY hope it's nothing, DH and I aren't very big and our twins (who yes were born early) were also quite small and I think I tend to carry on the small side (never got huge even with a twin pg and carried them till almost 36 weeks)...
ANYWAY I'm totally rambling (sorry) but if anyone has any advice or input it would be greatly appreciate
thanks
