I keep running into moms who believe they cannot birth bc they have a hooked tailbone, or anterior coccyx.  I wanted to put my story out there bc YOU CAN vbac w/ a hooked tailbone...I did.

It was quite difficult bc my lo's sat in the posterior position the whole time, and even came out that way.  I tried every position possible.  I had a doula/chiro for my second vbac and she adjusted me every ctx...it must have been 100 times.  I avoided the epi so I could feel to push.  THat helped immensely.

I couldn't have done it w/out ICAN and all the moms who believed in me and my body.  My dh was amazing and didn't let me quit (pain level was high from posterior baby).  So I hope this encourages someone out there!

Yah! I was told I couldn't birth vaginally because of an extremely prominent sacral promontory, and i just proved the HCPs who told me that wrong in Oct!

Dear,

I have an extremely hooked tailbone -anterior angulation. In my country (Bosnia and Herzegovina)  but generally Europe people do not know much abour thsese problems, my doctor told me tha operation can cause even more problems afteerwards so it would be best to avoid that option.Nevertheless my and my husband plan to have a baby but I am terrified of the idea to get pragnenet because I believe that birth  might injure me or the baby. I would appreciate very much more info and support on this topic. Thank you

Dear Ana, I highly recommend you find a good chiropractor and ask them your questions.  I don't know if there are any near where you live, but perhaps ask on chiropractor forums.  Someone there will be able to give you advice.  I had a chiropractor as a doula and she adjusted me several times during pregnancy and then dozens of times during labor.  It helped me with the pain of a posterior baby.  Also, try to avoid an epidural, if you can.  For me, I could not feel to push with an epidural.  Keep us posted!
