Hello. I am hoping there are some ladies out there who have some good input for me. I have had 2 csections (1 was an emergency at 33wks and the other was at 41wks after 2 1/2 days in labor with no progress). After my 2nd, I developed a severe blood clot and was diagnosed with Factor V Leiden (clotting disorder that makes you clot more than normal). I am now on blood thinners for life. Given that information, would you have a repeat csection or a VBA2C? I have read up on it and it seems doctors and research are split pretty evenly on what it better for the momma and baby. Has anyone had a vbac while on blood thinners? Thanks!

I asked this awhile ago and was hoping someone might have an answer or story for me now. Thanks!

I would personally not choose a cesarean over a vbac while on blood thinners due to the higher risk of hemorrhage in general from a cesarean and the fact that many more blood vessels will need to clot after surgery than after a vaginal birth. I'm not quite sure what the reasoning would even be for electing a cesarean over a vaginal birth when on blood thinners?
