If so, can you please PM me? I have a list of questions I REALLY REALLY need to bounce off someone who knows their stuff. My thoughts are so jumbled though that I can't really post it all cohearently & can't really deal with any flames. You must be very patient & well versed in "what are you talking about!?" because I'm not so sure I do!
TIA!

I'd be glad to share what I know as well. I've had one VBAC and one HBAC, and have done tons of research as well. I'll be glad to share my personal experience as well and what I learned if it applies to your concerns.

TanyaS -
Thanks, I will send you a copy as well. Please be warned though, it doesn't "flow", make any sence, or seem like a big deal...but it is for me...I'm still trying to get my thoughts straight. *sigh*

rmzbm-- I have experience too, but tbh I just had my baby yesterday and don't know how much time I can devote to answering your questions right now.

The reason that you don't think your pm makes sense (obviously, I haven't seen your pm) is that you are processing I'm guessing. Asking questions and "spilling" as you put it is part of the process of coming to an understanding and making a decision on what is best for YOU and your baby. Only you can make a decision about whether to VBAC or not and there IS a LOT of information out there. It can get confusing and frustrating.

We're here for you! If you'd like to pm me, feel free. I just don't know if I'll be able to get back to you as quickly as the other ladies.

Thanks, I really appreciate that! I will send you a copy...take your time...if you can get to it, great - if not, I TOTALLY understand! I have had SO many mamas answer this thread or PM me I am nearly chocked up...it is REALLY REALLY helping me. Y'all are a storehouse of knowledge!

No flames here, mama. If you need some more info, you can PM me too. Birth, especially vbac are a bit of an obsession for me!

Midwifery Student and Mama to 2 daughters and 3 sons.
ribboncesarean.gif vbac.gifhomebirth.jpg I have given birth a variety of ways and I am thankful for what each one has taught me.

Marie, have you joined the ICAN email list? It's a great place to process all the "stuff" that comes up, with women who really do *get it* and to ask all the questions on your mind. The mamas there have access to research you can use on your journey. It's a big help.

I have a huge collection of studies and articles specifically on birth after caesarean. Up to date research, lots of great stuff, a whole article on UR. PM if you'd like to see it. It covers FAQs and myths really well too.

Here are some good websites for VBAC info:
http://www.vbac.com/
http://www.childbirth.org/section/VBACindex.html
http://www.childbirthconnection.org/...e.asp?ck=10213
http://www.vbac.org.uk/
http://www.americanpregnancy.org/labornbirth/vbac.html

Good luck!!! Oh, and make sure you get a doula! They are so important to have, especially when you are going for a VBAC. Plus, a doula will be able to explain all your options to you and help you prepare the best possible birth for you.
