Another idea: Call CPS and explain the situation. I've heard from some moms who were threatened with this, that then called CPS to ask their opinion. Basically, CPS laughed it off and said it was ridiculous and they would NEVER intervene.

If financially possible, you might also consider getting an attorney to discuss the situation with. Maybe have the attorney send the doctor a letter explaining how it is unethical and you plan to sue if the doctor takes any actions that violate your civil rights.

Yeah, I would call CPS prospectively. That sounds wacky to me. I have a problem with the Florida case as well. I am wondering if there were other things going on? The lack of a citation to a case is also kind of weird. Even if it weren't tried there should be a record of the case?

I have just been googling to see what is what with forced c-sections. You should also get in touch with the local ACLU, they apparently defend in these instances. Having them at your beck and call would more than likely prevent a court from issuing an order for a c-section.

Really interesting case law.

"I would expect that this order would be accompanied by the peer-reviewed evidence-based research reports, along with the printed legal material, that indicate that I do not have the right to make the right informed choice for myself, my baby, and my family. And since obviously you have this material very handy, I look forward to you forwarding it to me by email, here's my address. Would you like me to forward the peer-reviewed, evidence-based research reports to YOU that I have indicating that the risk of vbac is insignificant compared to the risk of a fourth surgical birth, including my at least threefold increased risk of death and leaving my current children motherless?"
