I pray every day to have a healthy baby born vaginally at home. When I'm feeling a doubt creeping in, I say something along the lines of "I will push this baby out through my vagina" or something along those lines. I do a lot of visualization, too, in different rooms in my house since I'm planning a homebirth.

Women don't need doctors' permission to use their own vagina.

I told myself lots of affirmations last time:

I can do this
I am strong
My body was made for this
My body knows what to do
My birth will be wonderful
My uterus is strong

Stuff like that really helped me

I kept reminding myself that I was made to do this, my 2 previous cesareans were not my body failing me, but the doctors failing me.

Because I worry I will try tto birth with my brain instead of my body, my mantra is SURRENDER. I need to surrender to this process and allow my body to do the work it knows how to do.

Veggie, babywearing, cloth diapering, lactivist, intactivist, 2x HBAC, non-vaccing nurse and doula, wife of my babies' sweet Dada, Momma of 3 with another coming mid summer.

Vaginal birth is the default setting.
Even comatose women have vaginal births & so can I.
Relax and surrender to the process.
90% of the time everything goes just fine & I'm annoyingly normal

I had a client who repeated this mantra for hours! And she was right, of course!

You can do this and you will! best wishes for a powerful and strong birth!
