I posted the thread 'week late induction help' but this one is another question/topic.
I have been having contractions almost daily (or I should say nightly) for about 2 weeks. Last night after DH and I did 'it' I had SEVERAL contractions but by morning they're gone. This always seems to happen. What is the deal? Why aren't they sticking? Is there something I can do to keep them coming?

(As I've posted before, I've been walking, taking EPO, eating spicy foods etc)

I had contractions that settled into regular patterns for a few hours every evening for the last three weeks of my third pregnancy. DD was finally born the night I sat in the tub before bed and talked to the contractions, telling them to come harder, faster and stronger. They went away and then woke me up a few hours later, stronger, harder, and more regular than they had ever been. DD was born 2 hours later. I can't tell you if what I did helped or if it was just wishful thinking of a crazy pregnant lady. I was so ready to be done, and I'm sure you're feeling that way too.

Baby will be here so soon! For now, rest up for the hard work of labor and mothering a newborn. Make plans to do something fun the day after tomorrow -- something you don't want to miss, like going to a movie for the last time in three years without worrying about a little one needing you or wanting to nurse.
