Hi all, I'm studying public policy and public health on a graduate level, and I'm working on a paper about policy barriers that prevent women from accessing midwifery services in Texas. If this sounds like you, I'd love to set up a phone interview at your convenience. Send me a PM and we can work something out. Your replies can be anonymous. Thanks!

Jen, journalist, policy wonk, and formerly a proud single mama to my sweet little man Cyrus, born at home Dec. 2007 . Now married to my Incredibly Nice Guy and new mama to baby Arthur.

Does it have to be medicaid?  I'm in Texas and am unable to have a midwife because Tricare won't cover any of them that attend homebirths.

This Mommy and Military Daddy are loving their son.
