I am so confused.  I'm STILL bleeding.  Its not heavy but it never stopped for more than a day or two.  Everything I'm reading says lochia can last "4-6 weeks" but will also say on the same page that the blood should be over before the third week.  Mine went lightish brown for a while, stopped, came back dark brown, lightened up, came back, lightened up, ect.  When I had my PP visit (almost a week ago now) it went back to bright red and in the last 3 days its gone back to the darker brown.  It hasn't been heavy enough to think it was a period though.

I'm not like exercising or anything (although DH wants me to).  If I were doing much less I'd be on bedrest!  Is there anything else I can do to make it stop?  My doctor didn't seem bothered but my hubby is really freakin annoyed!

This Mommy and Military Daddy are loving their son.

I bled for almost 8 weeks PP, FWIW.  There's a broad range of normal, and I think I was on the longer end of that, but it's common for lots of women.

You mention that you're practically on bedrest, so I'm guessing it isn't that you're overdoing it (although, really, your body needs REST PP).  The first few things I'd think of are iron and protein...  Are you getting lots of both?

Also, your DH shouldn't be on you about exercise or anything else for that matter.  Your body takes TIME to heal.  TIME!!  Rest is really, really important postpartum, and so is support of that resting period!
