I realized in the middle of the night last night that my m/w didn't footprint my home-birthed newborn.  I guess I do really want footprints.  I have some archival ink used for scrap booking.  Does anyone know if it would be safe for her to have on her skin?  If you footprinted your newborn, what did you use?

That should work just fine. If you wipe it off right away with a warm rag, it should come off your baby's skin easily.
