Well, there's nothing like waiting until the last minute to post this but....here goes:)

I'm going to be induced in two days. We are having a doula attended hospital birth. My husband and I have a D/s relationship (Dominant/submissive) and we hope to incorporate that into our birth. It is our hope that I will be able to give myself over to that dynamic and use it as a focal point throughout labor. It is my goal to do this without meds even with the pitocin induction...but I have done it before (twice with an epidural and once without...all with pitocin) so I'm not opposed to meds if I need them.

My question is, have any of you done this? How well did it work for you? Any suggestions?

I know there are many variables but my husband and I live it as much as we can with 3 kids around the house:)

Thanks!!!

Thanks for the bump. I'm guessing not too many people are familiar with what I'm asking:)

Going in tomorrow and hoping for speedy delivery of baby number 4!

Good luck to you. Trust your intuition and everything will be as you hoped. Or at least very much what it needs to be.

I'm not a lifestyler, and I know this is too late for you, but might help out anyone coming across this thread later. I'd recommend fetlife.com. I know there are some groups for being kinky and parenting, etc.
