I had a nice hypnobabies birth with my first child. I even use self hypnosis quite a bit for a range of physical and emotional issues. But I am also meditate regularly as a person of faith (not in a Buddhist framework anymore, but in another tradition) and am thinking that the mindful birthing approach may be a better way for me. I wonder if anyone else here has gone through the book and followed the recommended program with the CDs. If so, can you share from your experience? How did it compare to other techniques you might have tried before? I'm wondering whether I really need a program or can just meditate regularly and apply it to birth.
If you haven't tried it yet but are thinking of it, what are your thoughts/feelings about it?
