Hi there. I have had a headache pretty much non-stop since my birth 19 days ago. It was a natural birth at home, but it was precipitous.

My last birth three years ago was a xfer for an emergency C with spinal anesthesia. Could this recent birth have activated something on my spine from the C section?

I am taking orthomolecular (correct, high) doses of vitamins that are known to help with headache plus I have eaten quite a bit of raw placenta. Diet has really been pristine in an effort not to hurt! Gluten free, traditional foods, green smoothies.

Also, my mental health is poor. I normally am very positive and kind with my three grams of daily niacin, but I am suffering most of the time, even with higher doses. Intermittent rages, crying, etc. it's awful!

Ideas?

Maybe a trip to the chiropractor or a cranio-sacral specialist is in order? Precipitous birth is so hard on the body and mind, neither have time to integrate and deal with what is happening. Your raging hormones + new baby + headache all the time most be so hard. Get your body looked at and maybe meet with someone who can screen for PPD. No matter your method of choice, there are treatments for your spirit and body. I hope it gets better and congrats on the new bub.
