My name is Becca Newmark and I'm a senior in the Anthropology department at Princeton University. I am writing my senior thesis on the practice of postpartum placentophagia (consuming and/or encapsulating the placenta for consumption), and I would love to speak with any women that have participated, or plan to participate, in the practice. Women who considered it, and decided not to, are also welcome! Similarly, anyone with a strong aversion to the practice would also be great to speak with. I hope to learn more about your understandings of the practice, its potential benefits, and how you relate to both the placenta and your baby after birth.
Please let me know if you might be willing to offer me an hour of your time to engage in a casual "interview"/conversation. I would so appreciate your help! You can reach me on this thread, or at [email protected]
Thank you so much for your time,
Andrea , child of God, wife of Tim , mama of L, B, J, J, G
I'm on a healthy mission.
