Alright, I'm looking for a gift. The babe is due around mid September, but many people have already sent gifts & I feel like Mom is probably wondering why we haven't.
I have these ideas:

Play area rug - organic wool/fuzzy
Motherlove bath soaps/lotions/etc for Mom
Whoozit toys - educational toys for babe
Kimono style baby clothes (easy dipe change? anyone like these?)

I'm thinking one thing for Mom & one thing for babe... We already got them a stuffed sock doll, the nursery theme, to put in their gift basket. Any of these things useful to anyone? Or do you have a recommendation of something you couldn't have done without?

They all sound good depends on the family.

I usally fill a "usable stroge container" (basket, whatever -- when I had to ship them; rubber made boxes with lid) with a lot of the little stuff they need but may not get. socks. Teething tabs, gas drops. nuseing pads.

"keepsakes" are alwasy nice too. Just stay with the stye of the m/d -- no presious moments if they aren't into that stuff. picture frames are good.

photo envlopes and stamps are a good thing no one ever gives new parents.

you can wait and send gift after baby is born. you don't have to rush now.

I agree -- always include gift for mom

........................maybe gift card to a carry out/delevey dinner?

Aimee + Scott = Theodore Roosevelt (11/05) and 23 months later Charles Abraham (10/07)....praying for a little sister; the search starts May 2014

i would a wool play mat---something that i wouldn't be able to justify buying on my own.....but such a wonderful thing to have! we donated literally hundreds of gift stuffed toys---they just don't do it for us

as far as what i couldn't/can't live w/o is my maya wrap and the womanly art of breastfeeding. but, hey, that's just me i love the idea of gift certs for meals, etc.

best wishes!!!

I have retired from administration work, so if you have a question about anything MDC-related, please contact Cynthia Mosher. Thanks!
