39 weeks transverse

I am 39 weeks with dc3. I had a successful VBAC with dc2. Unfortunately baby has been transverse at least 6 weeks, and nothing I have done has helped with position. The external version failed last week.

I'm not looking for any tips on changing position.

What I am wondering is the most natural way to go forward. I'm honestly freaked out by the high risk of cord prolapse. My last labor was only 2 hrs plus 1 hr pushing. Is waiting for labor with a transverse baby really safe?

Thanks for your thoughts.
