Me too. Well, mostly I feel like crying because I see women being abused.
But today I saw a beautiful home waterbirth. It made me cry out of joy as I explained what was going on to dd. It was really overwhelming because the woman had a lip of cervix which her MW held while she pushed and she screamed a bit- the same thing happened to me. I'm not sure how serious this woman's was. I'd had cervical edema for 3 days and I could feel my cervix tearing. This seemed much less necessary. Of course, not to get sidetracked, but if my damn midwife had shown up three days before, she could have rotated an acynclitic, deflexed baby so dd could descend and apply herself to my cervix.
