Best Hemorrhoid Treatments?

I pushed for hours... I'm 4 days PP with a horrendous case of hemorrhoids. What helped you?

The post partum sitz bath herbs really helped.

I also used the homeopathic Boiron ointments and the suppositories. I couldn't get the suppositories in because of the swollen bottom, so I just placed them next to the swelling and it soothed.

Using a peri bottle after every trip to the bathroom, with a little of the sitz bath herbal water..then using the ointment. Mine were so bad after my 5th baby, and I think I must have had a slight rectal tear or internal hemorrhoids. I would cry every time I had to go, even with soft stools. I tried everything...going with feet on a stool is supposed to help. Then I used sepia (oral homeopathic) as it is supposedly great for perineal tissues/prolapse/swelling, and I got better. Not sure if it was time, the other products or coincidence, but that's what helped.

There is also a prescription steroid cream you can use, and I've heard hydrocortisone is suppose to help. It's terribly painful, and I'm sorry you are dealing with it.

I hope you feel better very soon, and CONGRATULATIONS!!!
