I heard that there was an association with morning sickness and the gender of the baby. So far, in my circle, it has held true 99%. So, to expand my very scientific experiment, I need a larger sample size if you would all be so kind. Did you have morning sickness? If so or not, what gender did your babies turn out to be?
Morning sickness being defined as nausea with or without vommitting that lasted for a substantial length of time and was due to the pregnancy.

I'll happily participate. But I'd like to hear your hypothesis. Will you pm me after I tell you? I'm just curious.

Maybe I don't count because I was pregnant with twins and morning sickness tends to be worse with twins, or so they say because the HCG levels are higher. But I had HORRIBLE morning sickness for about 5 months. I had two girls.

I had the absolute WORST morning sickness that lasted the whole pregnacy. I could hardly keep anything down (even water.) It was the same with my second pregnancy. My doctor gave me a medication for it this time. It was called Zofran. And they give it to patients undergoing chemotherapy lol It helped a great deal at first. But it lost it potency after about, maybe, three months. and I was back to throwing up a lot at the end.
Anyways lol, I have both a girl and a boy and I noticed no diffence.

( I didn't vote because you have no option for sick with both and i can't vote twice )

I had nausia/dizziness but not puking or bad morning sickness like I've heard about. I have all boys.

My mom never had bad morning sickness that I know of. She had 7 kids, one set of twins.

I can't speak for myself (no kids yet) but I can speak for my mother. Not a touch of morning sickness with either me or my little sister.

I had bad ms, and it got worse with each pg(3 boys) the last one I was in ans out of the hospital for the first four months.
My mom had nine kids and got bad ms with the girls, and very slight ms with the boys. My two sis' both had bad ms and had girls.
I really believe there is no connection

All 4 of my pregnancies involved morning sickness for the whole pregnancy. 2 girls and 2 boys and the boys were slightly better. At least with the boys I didn't tear my esophagus yarking

I voted morning sickness/girl. I was really, really sick in the beginning, until about 15 weeks or so, and then it gradually tapered off.

MIL was really sick all the way through both of her pregnancies, and she had two boys.

I threw up from implantation to the day I stepped into the delivery room!!! It was a boy. Took maxalon tablets to help keep food down but they didn't work at all!!! PM me too, I would love to know the results you get for this. Heard rumours that m/s is worst with girls but I'm not convinced either way. Thankyou!

No morning sickness and I had a bouncing baby girl.

I only felt slightly nauseous one time that I can remember and it was in the first trimester, I was at a grocery store and felt kinda dizzy and "pukey".

Boy do I now realize how very lucky I was.

Of course I had a horrible asthma attack and flareup and ended up with an "emergent" c-section in the end though. :

I threw up nine months with all three of my girls. I threw up if I smelled food cooking, I threw up looking at food in the store, I threw up if someone looked at me funny. I threw up constantly, at least 3 times a day, until those babies were out.
With my 4 boys, maybe a twinge of nausea here and there, but no barfing.

I've had morning sickness with the first 2 pregnancies and they were both girls. This one I've been even more sick with and we'll have to wait until June to let you know about that one.

I couldn't really answer the poll, because I've had 3 pregnancies. For me, m/s seemed to get worse with each one, regardless of gender. 1st was a boy with minor, occasional nausea. 2nd was a girl, lots of nausea, frequent, but not daily, vomitting. 3rd was a boy, with daily nausea and vomitting for the first 15 wks or so.

I was soooo sick for the first 4 months of my first pregnancy - and delivered a girl. I was pregnant again right away with my son and had him within the year. I had no morning sickness with him - or maybe I was just too tired to notice :LOL .

I had a boy, but I was mildly morning sick. I only threw up two times, but I was nauseous constantly. I think that I sort of mentally stopped myself from throwing up, because it's very traumatic for me, and also, I just didn't have the time to be sick.

With #1, I had no morning sickness. I had a girl.

With #2, I have had no morning sickness. I think it's a boy, but won't be finding out for sure until he's born in April.

I had severe morning sickess with both my boys, plus my girl who I lost. It's wasn't as bad for Lily as it was the boys, but it still kept me off my feet.
