I also cross posted to the midwife/doula/educator board.

I'm just wondering if anyone here has had the diagnosis of intrahepatic cholestasis and was the result induction? With my second son this was the diagnosis and the result was a failed induction that lead to a c-section. With my first we also had a failed induction at 14-16 days past due (depending on if you went by LMP or ultrasound dates) and I was not diagnosed with ICP but I did have the itching so I'm guessing it was the same thing...we just weren't testing for the enzymes so it was never official.

Anyway...I was just thinking about it today and wondering if it may have prevented me from going into labour naturally because things were out of whack? I was 4 days past due with my second son and we had been testing the enzyme levels for a couple weeks and thats when they finally went over the "safe" mark. If anyone has had an experience with this I would love to hear about it.
