Hi! My hubby is military (AF) and we're moving to Kadena AB (Okinawa, Japan) in November. We plan to TTC #3 while there (probably this time next year or so) and we want to have either a home birth or a birth center birth. From the readings I've done, it seems that most/all military moms give birth at the naval hospital the next base over. anyway, i really (REALLY) do not want to go to the hospital for birth. we're fine with paying out of pocket, but we need to find (preferably) a birth center where the staff speaks good (like pretty much fluent) english, or at the very least, a mw that does homebirth that speaks english. Our preference is birth center, but we'll do a home birth before we go to the hospital.
Anyone with any info/suggestions of places to look?
