It took about 6-8 weeks for my stitches to heal completely. At my 6 week postpartum visit, they were still there and there was one spot with many stitches clumped together and they took the longest to dissolve. Hope that helps!

Don't you just HATE stitches? I was mad that they even stitched me since I only had a 1st degree tear. My stitches came out at about 3-4 weeks, but I'm sure going longer is still normal too. I know I was really happy when I started seeing stitches in the toilet! I was jumping for joy!!! I really really really hate stitches. : I hope yours will come out soon. It feels SO much better once those irritating stitches are gone.
