I have never heard of this until today... but there must be something wrong with it? All I have is this article: http://www.midwifeinfo.com/topic-TENS.php

Thoughts please? :

They're really really common in the UK. Haven't used one yet, but I'm thinking about it!

Expat mama to my 7-year-old Halloween boy and my cheeky preschooler, who came before the midwife in January 2010... Gestating a new bean, debuting spring 2014!

My TENS machine was the only thing that provided relief for me during my super fast induced labour. Seriously, I don't know how I would have coped without it. I tried the birthing ball, the tub etc. and nothing helped me as much as that TENS. I rented mine b/c the hospital only had one machine. Also, I knew wanted to use the TENS in early labour at home. As it happened, I was induced and didn't have the early labour at home but BOY was I happy that I had arranged to rent the unit.
