I had my daughter via a classical c-section incision (no flames please, it was a necessary c-section thanks to pre-e/HELLP/IUGR/baby in distress) on July 27th, so I'm not quite 6 weeks postpartum.

My scar is really thin at the top and wider at the bottom. The entire thing is still red - a darkish red. And rather "shiny" for lack of a better word. Is this normal? When can I expect it to start to fade?

Also, and this is just out of curiousity's sake - I just got my first postpartum period back ALREADY - at least I'm about 95% sure it was an actual period because beginning of last week I had some pretty clear indicators that I ovulated and my lochia had stopped at 2 weeks postpartum. Anyone else ever had this happen?

mom to three, 4 and under.
