DS#1
30 hours of confusion, pain, helplessness - My sweet baby boy! I'm NEVER doing that again!

DS#2
Dread - 4 hours of the most intense pain - My sweet baby boy! I'm NEVER doing that again (really, I'm not! )

ETA:
Neither of my births were anything close to ideal, but I would do it all again for the 2 sweet boys that I have!:

Molly, mama to my 3 sweet boys.

DS: I don't really talk about this birth much so I can't sum it up in a sentence...other than maybe "How can I feel this sad when I have a wonderful baby boy?"

DD: The first words out of my mouth were "I got to hold her first"...a defining moment in my life.

I love both my kids so much though...but I am hoping for a repeat of experience #2 (without the hospital transport because I started pushing before the MW got there LOL).

#1 Birthing in a hospital was the worst thing that I've ever experienced, and I never want to that again.

#2 Birthing my baby at home, in the water, was the most exhilirating, awe-inspiring, normal, and awesome thing I can imagine, and I can't wait to do this again really soon!

#3 Uh, I didn't mean that soon

I have retired from administration work, so if you have a question about anything MDC-related, please contact Cynthia Mosher. Thanks!

The birth of my son was the most amazing, empowering, life-changing day of my entire life; I was so in awe of my body after seeing what it was capable of doing.

Birth is truly awesome.

DS 1: An empowering experience that restored my faith in my body, was nearly painless, stretched my capacity to surrender in a way I've never experienced, and filled my heart with love so deep I could have never imagined it.

DC2: TBD

DS was conceived after infertility treatments, so after going through soooo much invasiveness, and feeling so discouraged by my body and how it works (I have PCOS), it was very powerful to have an amazing, nearly painless birth...it truly helped me heal emotionally and I think I gained some kind of closure from the experience, if that's possible.

My entire labor I kept thinking about how contractions couldn't touch the emotional pain we went through to get pregnant with him.

dd1: ah, this pitocin isn't so bad [then AROM], OMG OMG OMG I can't do this, I need something, okay, you drug-pushing nurse, give me Nubain, bad mistake, I have a baby!, ouch my body has been mutilated.

ds: wow, this is pain-less, okay- roaring through the birth canal hurt, afterpains are worse than birth, I feel sooooo empowered.

dd2: why does this hurt so bad?*, I can't believe she's a girl! (repeat last statement 50 times), I feel soooo strong and awesome.

*nuchal hand/arm but thankfully no tears.

ds: That wasn't nearly as bad as I expected, I rock!! (natural birth.)

I completely underestimated two things, how excruciating the pain would be and how quickly I would forget all about that and fall in love with the most beautiful baby I have ever seen in my entire life.

I think that sums it up for my second.

First:

"I just endured a wonderful two-day labor and delivered at home and all I got was this lousy D&C" Okay that's not true -- I got a wonderful babe afterward too but didn't get to enjoy until one day later
