My son was in the NICU after his birth...he was born into thick meconium, so he needed a bath. I was angry though, because the NICU nurses didn't call me to come...they just went ahead and gave my baby his first bath without talking to me first.

My daughter was born at mw's recommended not bathing her for 72 hours...she was fairly clean at birth anyway, so we left her. My 16 year old brother was grossed out when he kissed her little head and I said, "She hasn't been bathed yet..." Hahaha.

Your baby, your choice.
