I have two DC and after they were born the period of postpartum bleeding lasted significantly longer than "normal". I bled for 11 weeks after my DD was born and then for 13 weeks after my DS was born. I'm expecting again in March and I fear that if my body follows the same trend then it will likely last even longer. This is not a genetic thing; neither my mother nor my sister has had this problem. I consulted my pcp about it on both occasions and I was ignored. I've asked my midwife if there is anything I can do this time to help control this problem and she suggested Raspberry Leaf Tea and a lot of Vitamin C after the baby comes.

I am curious if anyone else has had this problem and would appreciate some suggestions as this excessive bleeding does become quite inconvenient and expensive. Thanks!
