Well, this thread got me thinking what to do with our new placenta (due any day!) This is not a permanent spot for us, so planting is out. Not quite up for eating it. But donating it would actually do some good. So today I called the canine search and rescue training place in San Antonio (I think the closest one - 2-3 hours away) and they said they'd come down here and get it! All I need to do is throw it in a freezer bag, freeze it, and call them. How easy is that!!
Now I only need to convince DH this is better than just tossing it! Haven't decided yet if telling him they use 'em to train the cadaver dogs would help or hurt my case.
