Did it pass natuarally over time? How long did it last?

What happens when infection occurs, and what did it feel like?

I just would love some first hand experience answers, not sure if I'm in this boat or not.
Thank you for any stories or insight

Mama to oneone, and a brand new!

I had retained tissue after delivering my little girl at 17 weeks. That's pretty common with later losses. It wasn't "diagnosed" until I hemorrhaged 2 weeks after delivery and at that point it obviously wasn't passing on it's on and I had lost so much blood that I needed a D&C right away.

After delivery my bleeding stopped for a couple of days, then turned into spotting and got progressively heavier until the tissue was discovered.

Luckily I didn't get an infection during those 2 weeks. I think with infection you'd be looking for pain, fever, odor...

to you. Sending good thoughts~

I had retained tissue after a missed miscarriage (baby died at 7 weeks, but I didn't actually miscarry until 14 weeks.) My hcg levels were checked each week and continuously went down, but it wasn't until I passed some tissue about 2.5 months later that they went to zero. No infections or anything, just a long time being in limbo.

Wife to DH and mama to two little boys born 6/06 and 7/09.

I had some my first loss at 11 weeks. I did 2 rounds (the first was a double dose) of mysoprostil. I also had a slight fever, so I was on a few rounds of antibiotics. I had a natural m/c, and really was avoiding a d&c at all costs. I took an herbal supplement called "resolve (lower)" to help as well.

I'm in this boat right now. I've had two rounds of mysoprostil with no success. There is tissue we could see on an ultrasound blocking my cervix. For now, I am on antibiotics and there are no signs of infection so I guess I'm just waiting. I hope it doesn't take as long as two months! I had no idea it could go on that long.
To the OP, I hope you are doing well and your body is figuring everything out!
