when to start emptying diapers - Mothering Forums

Dd, 6 mos, is ebf and she started solids recently. Her poop is starting to get a little thicker and stickier, but it's not "formed." Do I need to start scraping them into the toilet before putting them in the diaper pail/washing? Or do I wait until it's more solid?

Some may find me sick, but unless it is a solid chunk I leave it and let the washer take care of it. Sure every now and then I get pieces of corn or something in the washer but if I have chunks of poo remaining (rare) I clean them out and rewash.

I find unless it is a solid mass there is no point in trying to scrape it. I'm kinds lax lol.

diaper sprayers are a life saver, no dunking, no scrapping, no solid chunks anywhere. BF poops are pretty water soluble anyway.
