I have a pair of ON fleece pants that I used as a cover for DD1 and then later for DD2, they worked just fine for me.

They work for us too.
One thing to consider- with fleece pants with elastic waists, the cd underneath needs to be absorbent enough or the elastic band gets damp. I'd guess most fitteds would work fine, but we use thin fitteds, and occasionally get damp waist elastic.

I wouldn't at night. Sometimes I keep DD2 in a diaper and fleece pants at night so I can feel if she's wet but she doesn't soak the bed, and I totally can feel when she's wet.

It's not that the stay-at-home-parent gets to stay home with the kids. The kids get to stay home with a parent. Lucky Mom to DD1 (4 y) and DD2 (18 mo), Wife to Mercenary Dad

Any fleece pants I can get my hands on I use. So far I haven't had any problem with any of them.

Yes, I used them when DD1 was a toddler. I have trouble getting pants on a little baby.

oh, just make sure they are 100% polyester. Some of ON's "fleece" pants are actually 20% fleece/80% cotton.

Any polyester fleece works.

if you can sew, and you don't need to sew well, you can make fleece pants easily.
I get fleece (anti-pill) from joanns and I bet alot is on sale now.
and get elastic (like 3/4" or something) for the waist.
Depending on size you could make 4 pairs from 1 yard.
I make matching for my 3 and 1 year old (my 3 year old is PLd but still they are warm)
