Do pf work just as well as inserts on the fuzzibuns as do the special inserts that you can purchase for this purpose only? Just wondering if I shoud spend money on inserts. Also, probably will not buy newborn size pf because will probably use kissaluvs for newborn so will only have infant size prefolds. maybe these are too big to insert into a fuzzibuns...

thanks as usual for the help!!

We've used infant size UBCPFs as stuffers and they work great, just bulkier than an insert. I use them for stuffers at night or nap time and inserts during the day!

I like the inserts because I like hemp but that's for an older baby. For a newborn/small baby I would use prefolds too - they dont need the absorbency of hemp at that stage. Infant sized prefolds worked well in small fuzzibuns, just a bit bulky which doesnt really matter for a little baby. You could also use cheap face flannels - we used them in a wrap for the first eight weeks, just two or three folded over. Worked brilliantly. Now we use them as wipes.
