We have had our gro baby dipes for about a year maybe more. I always liked the ease of use but I don't like that they aren't stay dry at all...but w/e that's not the point of this thread. The dipes are really rough now, they were never all that soft to begin with but at least were much softer. DD is 15 m/o and I feel like I need to buy her a different type of dipes b/c her genitals keep getting raw and we simply can't afford disposables left and right (Which we have been using to let her genitals heal...)

I have stripped them, used ecover, electric dried them, air dried them, nothing worked so far...

Is there a way to salvage them or should I just somehow get the money to buy a whole new set of dipes now?

If you like them you can try using vinegar as a fabric softener.  I do agree that the grovia are a bit canvas like after washing them a bunch.   If you like then other than that I would look into their stay dry toppers or a reusable microfleece liner ( to add softness and see if that helps before replacing all your diapers.

I've never used Gro baby diapers, but our stash of nb Kissaluvs felt a little rough. I washed them on super hot with nothing but vinegar, and it softened them right up. I think detergent build up can be a culprit.

Happily married, busy mom to a houseful :-)

Expecting again early Oct 2014!
