Right now we live in a 2-flat- my landlord lives downstairs, and another girl lives in the basement. We have free use to the landlady's washing machine. It's included in our rent. Both my landlady and the girl downstairs use (a lot of) fabric softener. Would it work to just do a load of towels on hot with a vinegar rinse before washing a load of diapers? And obviously wiping out the fabric softener insert in the center of the machine? It's a top loader. I'd also have to wipe down the dryer with vinegar before using, right?
Would this work? I remember doing it at my in-laws house, but they had a front loader so I'm not quite sure how this all works. I had to do it when washing DD2's clothing when she was a babe- she had very sensitive skin back then.
I'd be using some sort of fitted (kissaluv 0s or something) to start out with, then switching to fitteds like the Goodmamas (probably used though, haha).
And I'd be using wool covers, so that's not an issue.
Anyone have experience with this?
