I'm trying to figure out a system for our newborn. I think I'd like a little mix of prefolds, fitteds, and aio's, so I can decide what I like best. How does this list look?

12 orange CLoth-Eez Prefold diapers
6 Oso-cozy unbleached prefold diapers
6 Bumkins cotton infant prefold diaper
2 kissaluvs fitted diapers
1 mother-ease one size fitted cloth diaper
2 kissaluvs one-size fitted diapers
1 oso-cozy fitted cloth diaper
6 Real nappies snug wrap diaper covers
2 GroVia Hook and Loop Diaper Shell System (covers)

1 bumgenius one-size aio cloth diaper
1 kissas one-size all-in-one diaper
1 oh katy one size pocket diaper
2 Liljoey fitted newborn aio
5 snappis

It totals 35 diapers (24 prefolds, 6 fitteds, 5 aios), 8 covers, and 5 snappis.

I think you are going to be a little short- but that depends on how often you want to wash.  New babies go through like 12 diapers a day- or more (mine are on the more side it seems)!  I would want 3 dozen for right away.  The one size probably won't fit right away.  But I guess if you are on top of washing you will be ok!

Thanks, that's the kind of info I was looking for. Most of what I was reading said to have 25-30 diapers to begin with so I was thinking I'd be safe with 35, but maybe I'll throw some more prefolds into the mix or something. The one sizes I picked are all supposed to fit at 7 lbs, but I realize they probably won't fit great until the baby is a bit bigger.

I agree, you are probably just above your bare minimum.
Never used the wrap covers you listed, but you will probably have an issue fitting in the motherease os, maybe even the other. Infant sized prefolds are long and might not fit newborn covers. To bulky a diaper can cause gaps with the cover.

Please ease up on the snappi. I only needed 2 for two years of constant use and was able to pass them along at the end.

Cost wise I would skip newborn aio and start at the small size.

12 orange CLoth-Eez Prefold diapers
2 Liljoey fitted newborn aio

6 Bumkins cotton infant prefold diaper

What are the sizes on these?
6 Oso-cozy unbleached prefold diapers

2 kissaluvs fitted diapers

1 oso-cozy fitted cloth diaper

6 Real nappies snug wrap diaper covers
2 GroVia Hook and Loop Diaper Shell System (covers)

None of these are liable to fit for at least the first few weeks, if not the first few months.

1 mother-ease one size fitted cloth diaper
2 kissaluvs one-size fitted diapers

1 bumgenius one-size aio cloth diaper
1 kissas one-size all-in-one diaper
1 oh katy one size pocket diaper

And I agree that you have more than plenty Snappis.  But you didn't list wipes or wet bags.

My little guy is JUST starting to fit the one size stuff now at 9weeks and 11 pounds.

I found 30-36 diapers to be plenty, I planned on washing every 3rd day and worked out fine.

I agree with the other responders -- you don't have quite enough, especially given that the one size stuff will probably not fit for a month or two, depending on how big/chubby your baby is, which is impossible to predict.  I might look for a handful of NB sized AIOs (used, if need be) for daddy diaper changes, or for when you're out and about.

What sizes are your prefolds? I always tell friends to get some preemie sized ones for your NB, as even the NB size can be too big on a seven pound baby. They are great for trifolding into a cover, and you can use them for boosters later (like at nighttime) when your baby gets bigger.
