Has anyone used Ecos detergent for their diapers?  We are currently using pockets and our septic took a turn for the worst.  DS is EBF and so laundry isn't a big issue at the moment, but we can't run the laundry water through the septic system if at all possible.  I've read that Ecos is good for greywater, but I don't want to get it if it's not going to get things clean.

(I will be running the first, poopy, rinse through the septic.  We're out in the country and this is all running opposite our well.)

Not sure why type of diapers you are using, but I exclusively used Ecos laundry detergent for my diapers (cotton prefolds with PUL covers). Just make sure you don't get the kind with fabric softener added. I used the Free and Clear. Seemed to work well, my diapers always came out clean (stained, but I don't really care about staining, just wanted them CLEAN). And, it's very affordable. I bought a big bottle at my local megamart for $8 or so, and it lasted over a year! Good luck!

We use ECOS Free and Clear for our diapers with no problems. Just don't get the scented kind.
