I'm looking for some help in suggestions for putting together a beginner starter stash for my friend who's due to have her little girl soon. She's trying cloth-diapering for the first time. I haven't had a kid in diapers in like 8 years- so I'm out of the loop as to what diapers are the good ones & where to find the best deals. I know I want to get her some prefolds & snappis (I loved them! Especially the pretty dyed ones!), a few different covers & some pocket diapers or something similiar that's easy for daddy to use. I want to start her with a variety b/c it's going to take her a bit to find what she likes & works for her little girl. When I cloth-diapered I know there was good places to get used covers & diapers- can anyone share with me anyplace to do that too? Not only will it help me get her set, it'll be useful information for her too.

Thanks for your help! I loved cloth diapering & am so excited to help my BF on her new journey too.

I hear a lot of people mention this site for buying used, etc. Diaper Swappers
Green Mountain Diapers also seems to have good deals.
I like the Thirsties covers. They come in cute designs and work well.

Married to a wonderful woman since 2010. Baby boy C arrived in June 2013!

Thanks for the link to the diaperswappers- I'll check them out now. And I'll see about getting one of those Thirsty covers too. The brand recommendation helps me greatly- I've been reading & researching since yesterday and am overwhelmed with all the different ones out there now- quite a bit more than when I was CDing!
