We've always just CD'd during the day but I bought a bunch of inexpensive pocket diapers for use at night (in the middle of the night I just don't have the coordination/patience to deal with adjusting covers over prefolds, which is what we use during the day.
DD is 4 months old and she really, really soaks through the mixes of prefolds and microfiber I've been using. No leaks, but they are sopping wet when I change her, usually after 5-7 hours of sleep. But at the same time the diapers are SO BULKY
Is hemp really all that? Thinking of investing in some Thirsties inserts...but wondering what else works.

Never found anything but 2 parters work at night. I like 2 bamboo terry squares, folded together as on nappy, and a wool nappy cover instead of PUL. Never failed me yet. Trying to boost pockets enough to last a night invariably puts them out of shape so you don[t get a good fit, so leaks
I have 1 swaddlebees prefold/insert(?) not really sure because it was given to me. But I love it! I guess the company is now blueberry diapers, so I'm planing to add some of their hemp and bamboo to my stash.
ETA I like hemparoos too, but not as well as a bamboo terry.
