Oh, poor little one. You can use Weleda Calendula cream or California Baby diaper cream or calming cream. Both work great and don't stain. I get mine at the health food store. Happy fast healing for your sweet baby. 2

Poor baby. Joannes sells microfleece, it's not as good (in not getting pilly) as MM but it's readily available. I do not think that walmart sells microfleece, but you could check. I had to go and get some microfleece and make liners for Katie because she was sick and her diapers were icky icky icky. They are still soft and keep her bottom dry, and her diapers are easier to clean that way I hope your DD heals fast.

Poor bebe!

I would try Triple Paste... you get it at the pharmacy area. It has lanolin in it, it really helps Stella when she gets rashes.

Hugs mama. I use Weleda Calendula cream too and I LOVE it. You can probably buy it locally at any health food store etc.
You can also use cheap fleece no problem. Hugs mama! 2

My ds gets fissures with his rashes and the only thing that works for him is Neosporine. I haven't had any problems with it doing anything to our diapers. It protects his skin and keeps the open sores clean and infection-free. I do use cheapo WalMart fleece and it keeps my kiddos just as dry as the more expensive stuff. As a matter of fact, I've had better luck with the cheap stuff not pilling and repelling as much as some of the more expensive stuff I have!

By the way, when my kiddos get rashes like that, we always trace it back to a food sensativity. You might want to try to remember everything she's eaten (or you've eaten if you are still nursing) lately and see if you notice a pattern if she gets the rash again.

Ah! My oldest two had constipation problems and one of them would occasionally get fissures from that. He seemed to get it in waves and when we saw it coming, we would give him a little bit of apple juice (we tried to find the stuff without any added sugar, etc.) and that usually cleared it up. Once or twice, we had to go as hard as prune juice and that never failed. If you try that, keep in mind that with the little bitties, a little goes a long way ......

Our doc recommended some kind of food oil you can find in the aisle with the laxatives and such, but we never did try that and I can't remember what it was now. The juice always did the trick, anyway.

The neosporine still keeps it clean and fends off bacteria.

Hope your little baby's bum gets better soon! 2

Oh Momma! That sounds terrible!
I've used Burts Bees, Boudreaux's Butt Paste and A & D plus without any issues on our FBs and VB AIO's... don't know if you are supposed to, but when DD gets a rash, we'll do ANYTHING to get rid of it!
'Lil Sophia isn't hurting is she? Poor baby!

That sounds really painful! I second the Triple Paste. It's a very nice cream and has never hurt our diapers.

If you can't find it, you can ask your pharmacist to mix up equal amounts of zinc oxide, aquaphor and domeboro. It works like a charm
